Development Talks: Capacity and Ownership – New Ways of Working

Developing capacity is a key element in most development cooperation. As a method, external support for capacity development has evolved considerably, and recent evaluations give us a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn’t.

Sweden has a brand-new strategy for ’Capacity building, partnership and methods for supporting Agenda 2030 for sustainable development’. An on-going EBA-study explores how capacity and ownership are interlinked and can support each other, and how both can be furthered in today’s changing development cooperation world. The Global Delivery Initiative will report on a pilot in Ghana which aims to stimulate problem-solving capacity.

Welcome to learn about and discuss new ways of working with capacity development, ownership and sustainable development!

This Development Talks* is organised in collaboration between Sida, the Swedish Expert Group for Aid Studies (EBA) and the Swedish Development Forum (FUF) as part of the Stockholm Evaluation Week.
