Africa and Europe: Is a better relationship possible?

The EU believes that the purpose of the new Africa Strategy should be to develop a better relationship between the Union and the states on the African continent. At the same time, we see that Europe's colonial history still characterizes the relationship between the regions. Can cooperation between the EU and the countries of Africa become more equal? What does it take for Europe-Africa relations to develop into a real partnership?

You who want to know more are welcome to this at a lunch seminar on December 7 with FUF and the Swedish European Movement. After some introductory thoughts from Adebayo Olukoshi, professor at Johannesburg's Wits University, Lennart Wohlgemuth, former director of the Nordic Africa Institute, visiting professor at the University of Gothenburg, talks to journalist and European expert Annika Ström Melin about what is needed for better cooperation between the EU and Africa.

Physical participants are offered coffee and a sandwich from 12.00. The call starts at 12.30. But places are limited so it is important to be quick to book your place! To signup.

The event can also be seen live on Facebook.
