The world needs more people who spread knowledge about sustainable development. As a member of FUF, there are several opportunities to get involved.

Our non-profit active members are the foundation of our organization. It is through their commitment that we can increase knowledge and debate about global challenges and Sweden's role in the world.

As a member of FUF, you can get involved in volunteer work and contribute to a more just and sustainable world, while improving your CV and getting to know students, professionals and experienced people who are all passionate about a more just and sustainable global development.

With us, you can, for example, write articles for Utvecklingsmagasinet, produce social media posts or read literature about global development together with like-minded people. We have engagements that suit you as a student, professional, retiree or organization representative.

Below are answers to some frequently asked questions about getting involved in FUF.

What groups and networks can I get involved in?
In the list on the left of the page you can read about the engagement opportunities that we currently offer our different target groups and members. • The editorial staff consists of the writers who writes about the world, Foreign Affairs who reports on Swedish foreign and development policy, The social media creators who does video interviews and posts for Instagram and FUF-correspondents, people who are abroad and report on the location where they are.
• The event group arranges seminars, lectures and other events that draw attention to events in the world, foreign and development policy, and the solutions that build a more just and sustainable development.
• The book club is open to all members, meets once a month in Stockholm and discusses books about the world.
• It is also possible to get involved in board working groups and contribute to FUF's work by formulating project applications or arranging social events for the organization's members.
• Those who have experience working internationally or with global issues are also encouraged to apply. mentor to a younger FUF member.

What experience do I need?
You do not need any prior knowledge to become active in FUF's non-profit groups. We use the method learning by doing, which means you learn during your assignment.

Where are FUF's active groups?
Most of our operations are in Stockholm, but in several of the groups it is possible to participate digitally.

When can I start?
Most of our activities are term-based and start in January and September respectively. As a new member, you will then receive an introduction to FUF and the work in the groups. Please keep an eye out on our digital channels (for example Instagram and WhatsApp) for information about upcoming calls.

What do I get back?
In addition to making friends, contacts and new knowledge, as a non-profit active member of FUF you also get to participate in various activities and training. Here are some examples:

- Opportunity to get your own mentor who works (or has worked) with global development
