Today’s world asks a lot of people who care to stay informed and engaged. A 2023 report from Folkshälsomyndigheten highlights that many young people in Sweden feel a growing sense of powerlessness about the future. This feeling is especially tied to global challenges such as climate change and conflict, issues that can feel distant and difficult to influence as an individual.
This two-part seminar series aims to teach you tools and skills to use when the world’s problems feel too heavy on your shoulders.
This first session, focusing on meditation, will take place on the 11th of May, from 17:30 to 18:30. It will be led by Jens Rantil – a long-term meditator currently on a gap year. He was a facilitator for the TergarStockholm Community meditation group for five years, covering topics such as awareness and compassion. The session will address questions such as: How can compassion be a tool to face the world more resiliently? How can compassion function as a source of strength when difficult things happen in the world? And how can we practice more compassion towards ourselves and others?
Everyone is welcome to join – no experience is needed. Come curious, come open, and come as you are! The event will be hosted on Teams.
