Russia’s full‑scale invasion has caused enormous human loss and widespread destruction. At the same time, a powerful movement is growing in Ukraine, consisting of local organizations, survivor networks, youth leaders, municipal initiatives, and faith‑based actors who are driving recovery, protection, and reform efforts.
LM International is working at the heart of this development together with a broad ecosystem of Ukrainian civil society actors and regional partners in Moldova. In Ukraine, we work with local organizations, survivor networks, youth leaders, municipal initiatives, and faith‑based actors to strengthen transparency, anti‑corruption measures, EU integration, and inclusive community building.
This year, LM International annual seminar focuses on how Ukraine’s reconstruction must be built on sustainability, accountability, and local ownership – and how Sweden, through government agencies, civil society, academia, and businesses, can be a strategic partner in this work.

What can Sweden contribute – strategically, technically, in terms of innovation, and institutionally? How can the public sector, businesses, and civil society act together?
Building Back Better: Creating Resilient Communities in Frontline Regions
What are the needs in fronline communities? Which models work for restoring welfare systems, livelihoods, and local democracy while humanitarian needs remain?
The seminar will be followed by an award ceremony, and musical performance. After the program coffee and mingeling will follow.
