Chinese foreign aid: Implications and consequences for global development

China has in the 21st century become a global political and economical superpower. Hence, it has gone from being a developing country to being one of the most active countries in the world in foreign aid and construction projects abroad. What implications does it have for the contemporary development paradigm? What role will China have in global development and foreign aid in the future?

To dissect this topic we are joined by Yahia Mahmoud from Lund University. He is a senior lecturer in Human Geography and Development Studies at Lund University and has done research on China’s role as a global actor and political ecology.
