Internship assignments

As a Communications Trainee with a focus on digital platforms, you will work alongside the communications team on content for our website and social channels. You will begin by contributing to work already underway and, as you find your footing, take the lead on initiatives of your own from first idea through to execution.

Main areas of work:
Social media: producing content for our channels and contributing to the strategy behind it
Visual storytelling: creating and editing visual material that brings Laureates' work to life
Interviews: systematically gathering information about Laureates' current work, and conducting interviews when relevant
SEO and GEO: helping optimise content so it is discoverable, both through search engines and through AI-driven answer tools
Archival content: revisiting older material and refreshing it so it stays accurate, findable and useful
Editorial planning: bringing ideas to editorial planning for our digital platforms

What you can expect from the experience:
You will leave with a working understanding of how digital content is actually created in practice, from ideation and research through production, publication, and measurement. You will build confidence creating content for online audiences, gain hands-on experience with the tools used across digital media and the creative industry, and see what it takes to run a digital campaign with a strategic mindset. You will also get a realistic picture of daily life in a small international NGO, where everyone's work overlaps and priorities shift.
