Axel Sandberg

Axel Sandberg has been in the South Hebron Hills, on the southern part of the West Bank, pon behalf of the Ecumenical Companion Program. The mission as a companion was to be in the field to observe and report on the situation in the area from an international law perspective for three months. The purpose of the program is to show solidarity with those who suffer the most from the conflict between Israel and Palestine, and to contribute a protective presence for them. After returning home sharer the companions with their experiences, to contribute to more involvement in the issue.

Israeli court order forces thousands of Palestinians to leave their homes

A large part of the Masafer Yatta area is to be used as a military training ground, which means that over 1000 Palestinians living in the area will have to leave their homes. I May 2022 stated the Israeli Hhighest the court that a large part of the area Masafar On yacht on the southern West Bank ska work as militaryt practice field. This means that the nearly 1 Palestinians who live in the area will be forcibly displaced.
