FUF is pleased to announce that just in time for Valentine's Day, two new organizations have joined the FUF supporter family! A FUF supporter is an organization, authority or company that shares our vision of a fair and sustainable world and that supports us through unconditional annual financial support.
Vi-forest, works with farmers in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda and according to the agroforestry model. Agroforestry helps to recreate a natural ecosystem where trees and ground-level crops are grown together. The result is higher yields, a more pleasant climate and increased resilience to the effects of climate change. Since its inception in 1983, Vi-skogen has planted over 160 million trees and supported over 2,4 million people to escape poverty. Read more about Vi-skogen's work on their website.
Plan International Sweden is part of the global children's rights organization Plan International with operations in over 80 countries. For over 85 years, they have worked on behalf of children to strengthen their rights. Since the world is not equal, they have a special focus on girls. Plan International is independent of party politics and religion and all work is based on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Plan International is present in cities, villages, refugee camps and where major decisions are made. In this way, they create long-term change for individuals as well as entire communities. - We effect which is the world's largest cooperative aid organization. With a focus on the right to food, gender equality and climate justice, they strengthen democratically governed organizations and cooperatives.
- Swedish Operating Partner who offer a full range of secure and sustainable IT services that add value and competitiveness to your company. Without their responsive and fast IT support, FUF's work would not have been possible.
- Swedish Mission Council which brings together churches and Christian-based organizations that work for the equal value of all people worldwide. They provide funds for several of our member organizations' collaborations with local partners in over 50 countries.
- SIANI, a global network that supports and promotes multi-sectoral dialogue and action to achieve its vision of sustainable, rights-based and inclusive food systems.
- Diakonia who have been working for a fair, equal and sustainable future since 1966. Together with people around the world, they create smart and sustainable solutions to the world's big problems.
- Läkarmissionen (LM) who work on long-term poverty alleviation efforts with a focus on food security and livelihoods, health and well-being, education and vocational training, and water and sanitation. They also carry out emergency humanitarian interventions.
