Welcome to a conversation about how you can find your dream job! During the evening, people who work in various ways with international development and rights issues will discuss how one can increase their chances of getting an international job, a trainee position or an internship after their studies. You will also have the opportunity to meet recruiters from the industry, who will tell you what they are looking for in an application and give tips on how you can become a sharper candidate.

Come and listen, be inspired and ask the questions you have always wanted answers to about jobs that contribute to sustainable and fair global development!

Panel lists:

Hanna von Reding, Karolinska Institutet
Hannah has a bachelor's degree in development studies from Lund University and a master's degree in global health from the University of Copenhagen. She currently works as a project coordinator at the Knowledge Center for Global Disaster Medicine at Karolinska Institutet, where she coordinates training in the field of public health in disasters. Previously, she has worked with the handling of international development cooperation at the organization Individual Human Aid.

Nathalie Mejia, Swedish Fellowship of Reconciliation
Nathaly works as a country representative in Guatemala for the Christian Peace Movement. She has a bachelor's degree in Political Science and a master's degree in Global Studies from Lund University. After graduating in 2017, she began working as a peace observer with the Christian Peace Movement in Guatemala for a year and then completed a UNV service at UNDP in Guatemala. The various roles she has had have been focused on peacebuilding and human rights.

Joel Lauren, International Center for Local Democracy (ICLD)
In the spring of 2020, Joel attended FUF's internship program when he studied the international master's program in political science at Stockholm University. After the internship, he started working as an administrator for ICLD: program municipal partnerships and in 2021 he started in his current role as quality strategist. Previously, he has worked with case coordination at the Stockholm Region and had association involvement within FUF and in local political associations.

Margareta Brisman, Chancellor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Responsible for, among other things, recruitment to the Diplomat program.

Jenny Grenander, HR Manager at the Swedish Afghanistan Committee (SAK).

Anna Skoglund, staffing manager at Sida. Has also worked as an HR strategist with recruitment at Sida.

 

The panel discussion will take place in Swedish and requires pre-registration, as there is a limited number of places. The last day to register is 10/5.
