After 32 years of struggle, it seemed as if in 2016 the last case of wild poliovirus had been seen on the African continent, but the setback came almost six years later. A young girl is now found to have fallen ill in the Malawi capital Lilongwe.

Today, the population of many countries, including Sweden, is urged to take three doses of vaccine for adequate protection against becoming seriously ill or dying in covid-19. But only four percent of the population in low-income countries have been vaccinated with two doses, according to a report published by Amnesty in February. Now the organization is calling on the pharmaceutical companies for change.

Increase support for the fight against tuberculosis!

Sweden has chosen to reduce support for the fight against one of the world's deadliest diseases - tuberculosis. With a looming pandemic of multi-resistant tuberculosis, this is difficult to understand.
