Land, power and rights - on the situation of rural women in Latin America

Although the majority of Latin America's smallholders are women, they control only 20 percent of the arable land, and they largely lack access to power and political influence. Listen to indigenous leader Guillermina Kuno Huanca from Bolivia and smallholder leader Luz Dary Molina from Colombia as they talk about the situation of rural women in each country and about their organizations' work to strengthen women's rights. The conversation is led by Marlene Sosa Mercado, Latin American groups, and interpreted from Spanish to Swedish by Kerstin Edquist, FUF. The seminar took place on March 21, 2019.
