FUF's (Föreningen för Utvecklingsfrågor) local groups in Lund and Malmö, together with the study association Medborgarskolan, invite you to a new way of talking about sustainable development - through spoken word poetry during the Malmö Festival!
During a boat trip through Malmö, the participants share their thoughts on the theme “migration, integration, segregation - globally and locally”, In very well-chosen words - they only have 120 seconds to convey their message. Arrive well in advance, there is a limited number of places! The boat departs at 16.30 from Norra Vallgatan 60 in Malmö.
Are you eager to read a poem? Pre-register as soon as possible via this link. Poems in Swedish or English are welcome.
You can also influence the content of the program without being on stage yourself, via this link you can share your thoughts on the topic and maybe the speakers draw inspiration from exactly what you wrote.
About the organizers
The Swedish Development Forum (FUF) is a non-profit association that wants to contribute to knowledge and debate and arouse commitment to a fair and sustainable world. FUF works to make information about global development and Sweden's role in the world more comprehensible and easily accessible, and at the same time provide space for a diversity of perspectives and voices.
The local groups Lund and Malmö have established themselves with many different activities and events, most recently a poetry slam in Lund during the sustainability week in May 2022.
Citizens' School is one of Sweden's ten study associations. Every year, Medborgarskolan arranges study circles, cultural programs and other public education activities with the aim of strengthening democracy and diversity in society, bridging educational gaps, strengthening the role of culture in society and giving people a better basis to influence their lives from outside. On a boat going through Malmö's channel, the participants share their thoughts and pieces about the topic “migration, integration and segregation - globally and locally”With carefully chosen words as they each only have 120 seconds to share their message.
