Courageous efforts for human rights, democracy and the climate are celebrated with this year's Right Livelihood-price. 

Student organization Pacific Islands Students Fighting Climate Change (PISFCC) and the human rights lawyer and author Julian Aguon parts one of the price for their legal climate fight. Their work has led to the International Court of Justice ruling that States are obliged to combat climate damage.  

The secret activist group Justice For Myanmar (JFM) is praised for its groundbreaking methods and revelations through which they have shown how international companies, investors and governments are strengthening the power of the military cartel in Myanmar. Their reports have pushed for sanctions and contributed to withdrawn investments and criminal investigations in several countries.

About the Right Livelihood Award

Since 1980, Right Livelihood has recognized people who have made the world a better place with courage and commitment.
