Live broadcast - The corona virus from a development perspective

More info"

Due to the spread of the coronavirus, FUF Uppsala invites you to a digital seminar via Zoom. The theme is how epidemics in general and the coronavirus in particular affect developing countries. The invited speakers will approach the subject from both a medical and a development perspective.

Microbiologist Patrik Ellström will talk about the virus' properties, spread, incubation time and symptoms. Stefan Swartling Peterson, who is a professor of global health, will talk about the problems that many developing countries face in dealing with the virus and what measures aid should be targeted at. He will address the problems that arise due to lack of clean water, effective primary care and oxygen as well as the difficulty of knowing how many are infected.
