Minor Field Studies (MFS) is a Page-funded scholarship program for you who want to do a field study to use in your bachelor's or master's thesis. Are you curious about the scholarship or field studies in general? Or do you want to take the chance and learn more about global development through someone else's experiences? In a lecture with FUF Uppsala, Erica Kanold talks about her experiences of field work.
Erica Kanold is working currently as a press communicator at the Ministry of Culture and is part of Sida's alumni program. In 2020, she graduated in development studies at Uppsala University. Prior to her degree project, she traveled to Sri Lanka in 2019 with the help of the Side-funded scholarship program Minor Field Studies (MFS). There, she interviewed female local politicians about the opposition they met after a controversial gender quotas law came into force the year before, and then used the material collected in her essay.
The planned layout is a 45-minute lecture followed by 15 minutes for questions. To take part in the lecture, you need sign up here. The zoom link is then sent out by email.
