Do you want to get involved locally in Uppsala for a fair and sustainable world? Are you interested in spreading knowledge and learning more about global development - as a global perspective on current conflicts, democracy and human rights? Then you are the one we are looking for!
What do we do?
In the past, FUF's local group in Uppsala has organized lectures and film screenings about, for example, climate change in Latin America, the illegal deforestation of the Amazon and the vulnerability of activists, the development of democracy in the shadow of the pandemic and about the criminalization of women's bodies through the abolition of the right to abortion.
Why should you join?
In addition to being given a platform for non-profit engagement, there is the opportunity to discuss interesting, and often difficult, topics and questions, expand your contact network, increase your ability to work in groups and within an association. In addition, FUF offers various skills training and the opportunity to apply for an internship via the Intern Program.
Who we are
Young people and students in Uppsala who, through our membership in FUF, want to increase our own and others' knowledge of global challenges and injustices.
How can you get involved?
Come to an information meeting with FUF's local group in Uppsala on Thursday, September 22 at 18:00-19:00 to hear more about what we do in the local group and meet old and new members. The meeting will take place in the study association Sensu's premises at Drottninggatan 4 in Uppsala. It is also possible to attend digitally.
