Are you interested in development work? Do you want to hear more about grassroot collaborations in Peru? Then this event is for you!
FUF Lund and Medborgarskolan invite you to an inspiring presentation about development work in Peru experienced by Martin Bengtsson, former intern at Svalorna Latinamerika, the 20th of October at 6pm. He will tell us about the internship he did in Peru from February to July 2022 within the University and College Council International internship program. A Q&A will follow his talk, giving you a chance to get all your questions about an internship at Svalorna LA and his experience in Peru answered.
In Peru, Svalorna Latinamerika is financing an agricultural development program with focus on sustainable development and women's and children's rights. The program is run by two local organizations in five municipalities in southern Peru. As an intern, Martin Bengtsson's work was divided between Svalorna LA's office in Arequipa and in the five municipalities with the two partner organizations. In collaboration with these, he organized and participated in different events and workshops for the local population. This work has given him insight into how Swedish development work is conducted in practice.
