To work with aid

You handle a humanitarian project in Mali through a local partner, internal problems put your staff at greater risk than usual. What are you doing?

Have you ever thought about what it is like to work with aid for real? Aid work is about more than theories and statistics - there are many different challenges that come with the job. How do you act, for example, when staff for whom you are responsible are in a risk zone?

FUF invites you who want to work with aid, or are curious about aid work, to a meeting with Julle Bergenholtz-Foglander from Diakonia who has several years of experience in this particular work. We will together, through a quiz, discuss solutions to situations that may arise when you work with aid. You will address everything from conflict sensitivity, human rights to international humanitarian law.

Julle Bergenholtz-Foglander works as an advisor for humanitarian aid at Diakonia, which has local partner organizations in 25 countries. Diakonia works for people themselves to be able to get out of poverty and oppression.

Take the chance to ask questions to a colleague in the industry and get an insight into what it is like to work with development assistance!

We offer drinks and snacks. Warm welcome!

The conversation is organized by FUF's event group, which consists of young non-profit members in the Stockholm area. Click here to learn more about the event group and how you can get involved.

Please note that the venue is half a flight of stairs down without a lift and that the event is held in Swedish.
